FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 09/21/2011
Hidden Symmetry To Release New Cd Temporal Affairs
Temporal Affairs, the latest music project & cd by Hidden Symmetry is set for release September 23.
The 10 track cd written & produced by Carl Eichman is a departure from his previous projects. Carl explains, "The songs on this are my lyric based pop/rock tunes that I’ve written over the years. There aren’t any instrumentals on this one. Rock & pop are very much part of my musical DNA & makeup so It was a natural progression for me to record them."
Carl starting developing his internet collaborated projects in 2000 with artists worldwide. This outing has selected tracks featuring Steve Mesropian (U.S.A.), Davis Steele (Canada) on vocals & Genrot Dechert (Germany) sax. Carl performs all guitars, bass, keyboards & drum programming.Carl adds "It was real pleasure working with these talented artists, they gave fine performances. Although they recorded their tracks separately & sent them via the internet it was like we were in the studio together. Hopefully it reflects in the songs & the listener will get that vibe too."

A Sad Day For Us & Them
RIP Rick Wright
Having been & big fan of Pink Floyd since the 1960′s I’m saddened by the news today of Richard Wright’s death from cancer. His writing & playing style was key to their signature sound & success. A great admirer of their music, style & creativity I first saw the band perform in 1973 promoting their ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ lp. To this day one it remains to be one of my favorite musical creations & live performances of all time.
The fact that people still know us is, in my opinion, a result of our music and of the big money that runs the music industry today. The people who control the industry are accountants who recycle everything in new, nostalgic packages, and everything else, to make more money.
-Rick Wright
[Wright along with Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and Nick Mason founded the band in t6he mid 1960's.Wright co-wrote five songs on "Dark Side of the Moon," released in 1973 it spent 14 years on the Billboard 200 album chart and is one of the best selling albums ever.]
R.I.P. Oscar Peterson
Oscar Peterson, one of the world’s best known jazz pianists, died Sunday at age 82.Born on Aug. 15, 1925, near Montreal, he learned to play trumpet and piano at a young age, but after a bout with tuberculosis had to concentrate on the latter. He made a name for himself as a jazz virtuoso & was often compared to piano great Art Tatum for his speed and technical skill.
The Relevant & Cutting Edge Zappa
Here’s a YouTube vid with Frank Zappa on ’The Cutting Edge’ tv program circa 1986. In the first part Frank shares his views on the music record industry & as usual Frank was right on target. Back then it was the ’Hair Bands’ being marketed & mass produced by record execs, each spewing out the same formulated power ballad. Now 20 years later it’s the ‘American Idol Pop Star’ & media driven mentality that dictates the airwaves.
The rest of the vid deals with FZ’s views on parenting, sex & the PMRC.
